| Ian Gillan’s sense of humor is unequalled. When you’ve been at the top of the rock and roll mountain for as long and seen as much as Gillan, your attitude towards the world is gonna be a little sideways. How could it not be? Smoke This! is the type of book that can restore your faith in the lighter side of humanity. These stories couldn’t be made up, not even by Gillan himself, because he’s lived too colorful a life for them to be untrue. Gillan’s playful, bouncy writing style makes this book an absolute pleasure to read. Seriously, read the “Tubes and Containers” story on page 24 and tell me it’s not hysterical.
