Covering bands
I just wanted to question why the two other bands that played with Love It To Death [Alice Cooper tribute] weren’t even mentioned. Perhaps the intention was to not discuss anyone else, but the other two bands that night were equally good. Not exactly the “show” of Cooper, of course, but Judas Rising was tight and had the whole feel down completely, and Anthem performed Rush so beautifully, one could have closed their eyes and believed they were listening to Geddy, Neil and Alex. I would love to see entire shows critiqued here, rather than a single band out of a night, but it’s only a suggestion for us completists out there, as well as being a good way to give credit to other equally talented musicians. Holly, we appreciate your input. We have covered Judas Rising many times and Anthem a number of times as well. We try not to write up the same bands over and over, but rather give more local bands a chance to have their show reviewed. Also, while I encourage our staff writers to cover the whole show, sometimes they’re not able to do so.
