Get well soon…
Carl Dixon, lead singer of ‘80’s Canadian rockers Coney Hatch, was very seriously injured recently in a head-on collision in Australia. By all accounts, it seems Dixon is very lucky to be alive. Speaking via phone from his hospital bed in Australia, he had these inspiring words to say: “The most amazing thing, beyond surviving what I cannot remember, is the outpouring of goodwill, love and affection since the accident. It’s been truly uplifting,” he added. “I have absolutely no recollection of the accident. It was obviously just one of those moments. I was trapped for a long time, apparently. I’ve got both legs in casts but not suspended. Right hand broken, right eye badly damaged... probably weeks before I can even try to get on my feet. Everything will eventually heal, except the eye, which I will probably lose. Other than that, I feel blessed.”
New additions and endeavors…
Thomas Gabriel Fischer has left Celtic Frost. (Doesn’t that mean Celtic Frost is finished? Didn’t he start that band? Just a thought.)… Singer Eric Wagner has left Trouble. The band has hired former Warrior Soul singer Kory Clarke to take his place… Anthrax’s new singer is an unknown named Dan Nelson… Metallica’s recently announced web site is MissionMetallica.com, where the band says it will offer fans a chance to “experience the new Metallica album before it’s done.” It’s scheduled to go “live” on May 12…
